Useful Motor Oil & Filter Info

Since many coming to this site may not necessarily be "lube pros", it seems that it would be tremendously short-sighted of us, if we did not at least offer some basic lubrication information, in order to help you more accurately choose the best oils for your applications.

So, we've created this lube info area. Periodically, new articles will be added to this area providing additional information to help you make the most educated decisions regarding your vehicle and equipment lubrication purchases.

In addition, you may want to consider dropping by our sister site ("The Motor Oil Site") to discuss motor oils and filtration in more detail with other like-minded auto owners. Lots of great information to be found as well as an opportunity to post questions that you may not be able to find your answers to anywhere else.

Lastly, for an in-depth look at motor oils, how they are made, how they work, what the specs mean, how the testing is done, how to choose one oil over another, whether to trust extended drains, how to best filter your oil and a plethora of other useful topics, it would be worth your while to consider taking a look at "The Motor Oil Bible" ebook.

Another site that offers some interesting information on motor oils is CarBibles.com. There's a little overlap in information between this site and "The Motor Oil Bible", but, for the most part, the two resources provide very different, yet very useful, information.
